Search interface for the Week of Excellence
Interface design and characterization for the Week of Excellence. Using this interface, surfers can discover the events taking place during the week in an intuitive, interactive, and convenient manner.
MY ROLE
BACKGROUND
he Israeli Week of Excellence takes place once a year and includes hundreds of public events. In one week, these events will take place. The goal is to put Israeli excellence in the spotlight for an entire week.
GOAL
To show users what's happening on which days and what events are happening. An easy and simple way to find out when an event is near them, and what kinds of activities are available.
user flows
Flow of the interface allows for different types of user journeys and ensures that each user persona is directed to the most relevant information: targeted search by location and date and free search.
Search screen
User input is required for three different indicators: physical or zoom event, location, and day. To differentiate each indicator, there is a different type of button adapted to it.
Map or List
Once the advanced search is completed, the user is given the option of searching within a map view or a list view - which allows a free search of all events.
Desktop vs. mobile changes
A variety of changes were made between mobile and desktop devices in order to enable the ultimate mobile and desktop experience. There should be more illustrations on the internal pages on the desktop as well as an interactive map on the search page. On a larger screen, this will provide a better user experience.
